About the cocktail

If you like Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain, you'll love our twist on the classic!

We start with the rich depth of Njord 3-years Barrel Aged Rum – because you're not into health food, you're into champagne (and aged rum). Then, we add a splash of Campari, for that hint of bitterness to remind you that this isn't your usual escape.

Pineapple and cream of coconut? Of course! They're here to keep things juicy and creamy, while a touch of coconut sugar adds just the right amount of sweetness. Finally, a sprig of mint for a refreshing finish that will have you humming the melody of your favorite song.

So, if you like making love at midnight and the taste of something new, try our "Not a Piña Colada".

Ingredients

3 cl Njord Ligalab Barrel-Aged Rum

0,5 cl Campari

5 cl Pineapple juice

1,5 cl Freshly squeezed lime juice

1 Barspoon of Creme de Coco

Fresh mint top for garnish

Instructions

1. Fill a highball glass with ice

2. Mix the ingredients in a shaker

3. Shake vigorously with ice until the shaker is very cold

4. Strain the mixture into the highball glass

TIP: Use both a Hawthorne and a fine strainer for an extra creamy cocktail

5. Garnish with a sprig of mint

About the rum

The Njord Ligalab Barrel-Aged Rum is characterized by deep molasses notes, and lighter banana and figs notes. The aged result is a smooth, dry, crisp and genuine rum experience with a soft mouth feel and fine vanilla notes from the vanillin in the oak supplemented by herbal hints from the gin.
