Aarhus - the city of smiles, and more specifically the hastily transforming Sydhavnen area, is home to Njord Gin. Here, secretly nestled between old factories and modern architecture is an old pumping station from a forgotten time. This beautiful terracotta building once shielded four large steam driven pumps, but it now guards a handmade copper still by the name of Frau Müller. She’s on an impassioned and open-minded mission with Njord to distill gin of the highest quality based on pure nature.

On a sunny October day 2019, they invited four young Danish jazz talents to record their newly composed music in front of Frau Müller and a fortunate selected audience – whilst being surrounded by spirits and botanicals. This enchanting vinyl holds the distilled essence from that day and is best enjoyed with a gin-based cocktail – preferably the special edition inspired by the very notes carved into the black grooves of this LP.
